Victorian Ladies with Looking Glass Free Tile Printables

Here are a couple of 1 inch square tiles for you featuring lovely Victorian ladies peering into mirrors.  A soft mauve color adds softness to the tiles. 

Use them to make pendants, magnets, in scrapbooks or however you like.  The only thing you can't do is sell them digitally or place them on your website etc.  Otherwise, use them for any project, even commercial.

Halloween Craft Upcycled Wine Bottles with Custom Labels

In time for Halloween, I thought I'd show you some cute ideas that are very simple.  I created the wine bottle below with a custom label I created, some cute dollar store items (ribbons, black roses, skeletons, little witch hats etc).

Here's how to do it in a nutshell.

Use a custom drill bit called a diamond hole saw bit.  It fits most standard drills.  put a piece of tape over the back of your wine bottle.  If it has the old label still on, it's easier to get a no slip grip to drill the hole through.  Carefully drill the hole into the back of the bottle.  We used a 1/2 inch bit so that we can replace the lights when they burn out.

Next, soak the bottle to remove the old label.  If some of the adhesive is left behind a bit of WD40 will take it right off.

The next step is the fun part. Print off your custom label and coat the front with Mod Podge Matte to seal the image.  Allow it to dry thoroughly and then place it on your bottle by coating both the glass and the back of your label with a layer of mod podge.  Place your label carefully, smoothing out any air bubbles with the edge of a credit card, or other flat edge.

After it has dried use your hot glue gun and imagination to add decor around the top of the bottle.  Ideas include custom tags, feathers from feather boa's, tiny witch hats, spiders, silk flowers, creepy cloth.  There are so many cute ideas.  When your bottle is ready, carefully take a strand of lights and place them into your bottle.  Plug in and enjoy.

If you want your bottle to be portable for use as a center piece, try getting battery operated led lights.  Some even have timers - very nice! :)

So, below are a few custom blank label graphics you can add your own text to so that your labels are uniquely yours :) .  I hope you'll enjoy this project.  It only takes a couple of hours and can be as simple or complex as you wish to make it.

This is a project I worked on awhile back.  This image is a draft I made for some of my own projects, but it's still very nice.  Print it up and transfer it with gel medium onto a tile (reverse it first) or print it out as is and decoupage onto something fun in time for Halloween.  I placed one on a fridge magnet and it looked neat.

Free Ornate Victorian Frame

Here's a metallic looking frame I created using Victorian style flourishes and shapes.  Print it out for decoupage purposes, or use it to frame a pretty image in your next graphic design project.  It has a transparent background so you can use it anywhere you like.

10 Free Gothic Halloween Printables High-Res Backgrounds

Free Halloween Images

Today's freebie is a set of 10 high-res (300 dpi) images that are 8 x 8".  They have a similar look and come in a variety of fun Halloween shades from the creepiest crimson to the prettiest purples.   The download is in .zip format. 

You can use these as backgrounds for other images, as scrapbook pages, or anything you can dream up.  Decoupage them, use them in mixed media - whatever you like.

I am personally using a couple of these for backgrounds for wine labels.  We are drilling holes in the old bottles we've collected and inserting orange and black lights.  (you can get a drill bit to do this for about 6 bucks on Amazon)

Stick the lights in, glue on custom labels and place whatever decor you like around the top.  Feathers, black roses, vines, little pumpkins.  Your local dollar store can be a great source for all sorts of fun things. 

It's a great recycled craft and when my bottles are complete I'll be sure to share mine with you.

4 free printable hang tags vintage floral theme

Good morning. 

This morning I decided to create a set of hang tags for you.  I created them all with the same floral design on the bottom, but in some varying colors and styles.  I hope you will enjoy them.   These are approx 2.5 x 4 inches full size.

Custom Free Vintage Halloween Graphic

Today's treat is a custom graphic I created in Photoshop with a cute Halloween verse.  I combined the verse with an image of a witch, black cat and pumpkin from another vintage card.  I think it turned out really nice, so I'm happy to share.

"When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween." 

This image can be printed on tags, used in scrapbooks, made into postcards - whatever you can dream up.  Remember if you want to share this free image to link back to the blog post, don't place my images directly on your site.

Free Printable Tags Pansies Victorian

I created a lovely graphic to share this morning over coffee.  The cooler air may be settling in, but I still adore my garden, especially pansies.  They've been my favorite flower since I was a little girl.  I remember taking my grandmothers watering can out to water them.  She grew them within a rock garden around a well and they were so beautiful.  I loved all the bright colors and "happy faces" inside them.

Free Printable Halloween Wine Label

I was feeling creative on this cooler than usual September morning, so I decided to create a custom Halloween Wine Label.  Print it off, size it to whatever size you desire, cut it out and decoupage it to your favorite bottle for Halloween.

This year, we drilled a hole in some of our old glass bottles and inserted lights.  I'll post pictures when I finish, but I intend to place custom tags, halloween flowers, and some custom wine labels on the bottles for a great Halloween centerpiece for my table.

Free Vintage Halloween Tile for Pendants and other Projects

Today's freebie is a blog only vintage Halloween tile I made.  This little girl witch is simply adorable.  I did the tile in a 4 x 4" size so that it can be used to make a coaster on a standard tile, or shrink it down to whatever size you like for pendants or other small projects.

I created fridge magnets with these graphics I've shared the past couple of days.  The possibilities are endless truly.

Free Victorian Halloween Postcard Images

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  It is so full of rich traditions; many of which we no longer engage in as we did in days gone by.  In Victorian times, Halloween was a time for sending greeting cards, attending lavish costume balls and engaging in various customs designed to help one divine their future lover.  It had a very romantic feeling to it more than scary.  In fact, you'll find most Halloween images from that era are cute or pretty and rarely macabre.

So, today I have a few Halloween postcards I restored to highlight the vivid colors and fun energy of the artwork.  You can download the following images on the website in high res 300 dpi format, or download a project sheet with 8 high res images on a .pdf sheet.

I hope you will enjoy the images and pass them on.

Free Halloween Scrapbook Papers Hi-Resolution

I'm still in the process of finishing up my main website, but I wanted to go ahead and make a post since Halloween (my favorite holiday by the way) is soon to be upon us.
