Free Victorian Halloween Postcard Images

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  It is so full of rich traditions; many of which we no longer engage in as we did in days gone by.  In Victorian times, Halloween was a time for sending greeting cards, attending lavish costume balls and engaging in various customs designed to help one divine their future lover.  It had a very romantic feeling to it more than scary.  In fact, you'll find most Halloween images from that era are cute or pretty and rarely macabre.

So, today I have a few Halloween postcards I restored to highlight the vivid colors and fun energy of the artwork.  You can download the following images on the website in high res 300 dpi format, or download a project sheet with 8 high res images on a .pdf sheet.

I hope you will enjoy the images and pass them on.

They are free for personal or commercial use, however some limitations apply.  You can use them to create tangible items for sale, but please do not resell my project sheets as your own in digital format - that's a big no no.  :) Otherwise - enjoy!

Here are a few thumbnails.  Click HERE to get the full size, high-res images. There are 8 total and I'm sure you're going to want to use them all :)
