Free Printable Index Cards Vintage Look High Res

Who doesn't love and use index cards right? I use them for everything and as I was writing one of my to do lists today I thought, wouldn't it be cute and fun to make index cards a little less boring a lot more fancy?

Yes... yes, it would.

 So, I decided to make some vintagey looking index cards with great texture and subtle color in a sort of shabby chic look.  Think of all the potential these have.  Print them off "as is" on card stock and write handwritten greetings on them.  Doll them up by adding some of your own graphics in Photoshop and then printing them for personal use in your scrapbooks etc.

Oh the possibilities from a meager little 3x5 index card inspiration.

Free customizable wine bottle graphics

Today's freebie is a set of wine bottle graphics with blank labels you can customize.  Use them for scrapbooking, making cards, stickers, buttons or whatever you like.

I left the labels blank except for a couple of vintage Victorian bow and flower embellishments at the corners.  I also added plenty of gradient and shading to give the bottles dimension.

Free Christmas Chalkboard Art Printable Fancy

Today's offering is a chalkboard style graphic I did for Christmas.  I created the frame using the custom shapes I have and added a lovely free 5th grade cursive font (dafont) and embellished with some Christmas bells and holly taken from a vintage postcard. 

If you love the look of chalkboard art stay tuned as I am in the process of creating a comprehensive tutorial on various ways to create the effect in Photoshop.  I'll post here as soon as it's completed.  You can add this effect to text, shapes, and even graphics for some very unique and lovely custom art.

I added the quote to a nicely textured background and of course the Victorian Christmas tree and angels were a good fit.

How to Sell More at Craft Fairs

So, you want to get more sales at craft fairs and festivals? I spent several years doing shows before moving my projects online.  In that time, I learned a lot of neat tips and tricks - from how to set up booths visually, to how to network effectively with other vendors.

Of course, I also saw a lot of bad examples and learned what you should NOT do as well - ever. 

I wrote a very long craft fair vendor guide that I published on HubPages.  I hope you will enjoy the information and of course, if you have other tips that have brought you success, please leave them in the Hub comments to help other vendors.

I love the idea of craft fairs, but for me it became too much work with all my other obligations so I gave them up to focus full time on my writing and design career.  Anyway, the information is still valuable to those who do want to do craft fairs full time.

My New Etsy Shop is Live :)

I've been selling my handmade jewelry and other creations at fairs and festivals for ages, but have always been a bit afraid to put my work out there online.  Not sure why - call me crazy.  Anyway, after a lot of coaxing from friends and family; I finally decided to take some of my art and place it for sale on Etsy.  So far I have pendant necklaces listed.  Later I plan to add digital downloads and art prints.
